hi psychonauts,
I have now tried Salvia 4 times and felt nothing.

I bought the strongest available each time, smoked in glass pipe ,
lit with a torch lighter.
I read people have the most amazing trips on this stuff.

then I got to thinking maybe it;s the suboxone that blocks it?
I believe Salvia works partially on an opiate receptor (?).

or maybe someone is just immune to it.
that seems very unlikely though.

I have wasted 200+bucks on this thing and am slightly resentful.

what do you guys think?
is it possible subs(or any other opiate)can block the effects of Salvia?

Salvia acts as an agonist on the K-opioid receptors. Doing Buprenorphine, which is a K antagonist, would certainly kill the effect, similar to how Seroquel blocks LSD.

I noticed this last time I did Salvia... After I had broke through many times prior... And I was on subpoena and just figured the Kappa agonism / antagonism was the culprit

That's very unfortunate. You might have better luck hitting those receptors hard if you take it sublingually and then smoke it after 45 minutes. There's also always the possibility you got bunked.

thanx for the tip and yeah, one time I'm pretty sure I got bunked.
it was "purple sticky"something ,boasted 80x.

the three other times I did my research and bought 99percent sure the real thing.
