Does it make sense a vape (salt nic) could help a respiratory infection?

I think I have a sinus infection or Corona or something not sure what it is honestly. I usually smoke a pack a day, but got a disposable salt nic vape.

My brother has told me that PG / VG has anti micro bacterial properties. However when I Juul’d 2 pods a day my candida overgrowth was unbearable so I stopped a few years ago.

But is it possible a vape could open airways and cause better breathing / help one get better?

I wish I could help with this one. I know Nicotine is a carcinogen so is, as we all know, unhealthy for our bodies. On the other hand, like in the short term, could the vapor itself be promoting better functioning of your airways? I don't know. Hopefully someone knowledgeable can come in here to comment.

Part of me honestly feels like for me vaping is more destructive than smoking longer term. It could be related to liquid in the lungs, and there’s studies vaping can cause mutations in cells which honestly I believe.

But really who knows? It is a great question though. It’s a good debate
