Benzos Does crushing Xanax XR make a difference?

I have Pfizer Xanax extended realise. If I crush it up will it work the same as the instant realise. I don’t want to be on Xanax all day. And i’d rather it hit me stronger and faster to help me with panic attacks, without having to take a stupidly high dose. Will it still last just as long if I crush it up? Or will it work the same is the IR version? I need some help.
 
Yes, crushing it will essentially defeat the extended release mechanism. Make sure you completely pulverize it, and then parachute it (for best results).

It still may last slightly longer than an IR pill, but not by a significant amount.
