Alcohol Does alcohol actually reduce the effects of anti-depressants?

And if so, does the anti-depressant need the usual 4-6 weeks to "kick back in" again? Or it simply the fact that alcohol can increase depression? (And is this even true, alcohol is a depressant to the nervous system, does this even correlate to mental depression?)
I've tried to do some research, but I can't seem to find any real answers
 
It depends on too many factors: what antidepressant you take, amount of alcohol, personal genetics, if one is psychiatrically stable, and others.
 
Something being a "depressant" only means that it relaxes your central nervous system and/or part(s) of the body, such as the lungs. It has nothing to do with mental health. This idea always makes me facepalm when people try to tell me "WEED MAKES YOU DEPRESSED IT'S A DEPRESSANT" or something dumb like that. Not meaning to call you dumb, I mean you at least questioned it.
