Do benzodiazepines affect calcium channels ?

Per the title.

Some older sources state that benzodiazepines (can) affect calcium channels (http://www.cell.com/trends/pharmacological-sciences/abstract/0165-6147(86)90421-9 , https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC345232/ '' , I haven´t been able to find any confirmation for this in more recent sources.

Usually the only drugs that affect calcium channels in the way i believe you are refering too are medications that promote the production and boost already existing chemicials in the brain for instance lyrica and nuerotin. I dont believe drugs that actually bind to receptors in the brain as in to introduce the chemical needed.
