The boss of a drugs gang has claimed that his dealers are supplying primary school children with cannabis, and that its growing popularity is down to celebrities such as Miley Cyrus. The man, who said his firm has three factories supplying drug users in south London, said the cannabis trade in Britain is bigger than ever, in spite of police attempts to stop dealers. Speaking anonymously, the man claimed that dealers are selling the class B drug to children under 11, blaming exposure on TV and in music for the booming cannabis trade.
He cited singer Miley Cyrus - who controversially appeared to light up a joint of cannabis during her performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam last November - as an example as to why more people are taking the drug.
