Distorted Silhouettes


They appear torn & frayed
murky like dirty tapwater
My tattered patchwork
of broken memories
They might be scripted
implanted or maybe
the product
of endless reveries

There is no trust between us
my naked thoughts & me
Dancing with knifes
we slash & lacerate
Puncture, mutilate
self-induced delusory
Fingers around my throat
like a cold piece
of bloody jewellry

I was eagerly anticipating the unfolding, like hitting the peak of a lift hill on a rollercoaster just before the drop, and wasn't disappointed.

Thank you so much, wonderful people. I love how encouraging you both are in this sub-forum; it's really motivational. I'm very shy about my writing IRL, even when writing in swedish, but way more so in english. You good folks have really given me a confidence boost.
