Dihydrocodeine & alcohol?

I understand that mixing painkillers and alcohol increases the effects of one or the other. But is it wise to mix these two?

It is never wise to mix any opioids with alcohol. You can easily kill yourself if you take your normal recreational dose along alcohol.
Although dhc is one of the lesser opioids it still can kill you when combined with alcohol especially if you can get something out of it recreationally.

Only my doctors recommended dose. 30mg every 4-6 hours.
