Opioids Dihydrocodeiene more effective than oral morphine

I got better effects eating 240mg dihydro than 80mg morphine same with 120dhc and 40mg morphine. There's a bit more of a nod with the morphine and more of a mental stimulation on dihydrocodeiene
Is this due to dihydrcodeone metabolites even my doctor said he'd prefer to have me on morphine as dihydroxoeine has more euphoria
