Simple question really, what are the differences between the two above?

I've heard there's none but the name. Can someone please explain.

Pholcodine is not a drug in the American pharmacopeia, so I admittedly have no first-hand experience with it, but by all accounts, it seems to be a drug with limited recreational potential, if that's what you're after. It seems to fulfill a similar role as Dextromethorphan, which for the record, is seen as a recreational substance to many, but if you're a seasoned Opioid user, I don't think you can expect anything special from it.

Again, I don't have a lot of experience or knowledge surrounding it. Most of the literature surrounding Pholcodine mentions that it's being implemented intentionally as a replacement for Codeine due to potential issues with addiction/dependence.

I guess that's why a bottle of that stuff goes for around the equivalent to $2.50 where as codeine is $10 or so haha.

That's made me sad thought I could save some cash :(
