I will try and keep this brief, and as 'clean' as I can, though I do need to paint the background as it were.

A long term (8years) relationship ended, thought there had been 1 or 2 'breaks' along the way. I'm in my early 40s and she was mid 30s. Quite right it has ended and I wish her well.
