dhs xanax banned list

Recently my doctor received a note from dhs drugs poison div. stating that he can no longer prescribe me xanax which i did find helpful with my anxiety as any one would say. Is the ban permanent or is it over a period of time im not allowed to be prescribed?

I heard something about this from one of my old GPs. Said he wouldn't be able to prescribe it anymore. I am still being prescribed Xanax from another physician however. I'd be curious to know what that's all about.
