Deputies arrest 67 people, seize 23 cars, $140,000 in drugs in Lake County bust. Deputies prepare to arrest 7 more

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. —The Lake County Sheriff's Office seized drugs, guns and vehicles in a major drug bust.

Deputies arrested several people during operation Close to Home and are targeting more.

Lake County Sheriff Gary Borders said at a press conference Tuesday that all drug busts are significant because they grab dope that otherwise would be in the hands of users.

"We feel like we have delivered a major blow to the drug problem here in south Lake County with this bust," Borders said.

Deputies issued 74 arrest warrants and have arrested all but seven people. They seized 20 guns, 23 cars including some luxury sedans, and cocaine, heroin and pain pills. Investigators said the street value of the drugs was nearly $140,000.

Stealing more people stuff and rueing more peoples lives. Who benefiting from the black market they create once again. Positive effects none. Nothing but thugs with badges.

ROFL, by taking 140,000 worth of drugs off the street.. what a joke. Now you will just see an increase in violence as the turf wars should likely fire up with people looking to take the holes you all made. Drugs will still be everywhere, you not fooling anyone.

Ironically, this is precisely why your drug busts are not significant in any way, because those users will quickly find themselves another dealer, and another, and another after that, and repeating infinitely.

You're in over your head, and you know it. You might not give two shits at the moment, but once someone you care about becomes the target, that will change very quickly - that's pretty much a guarantee. Hell, I'd be surprised if you didn't break your own laws to protect your loved ones.

I hope you feel like an idiot, because you sure sound like one. An indoctrinated pawn. A thug in a uniform. More of a scourge to society than any drug user will ever be.

Allow me to explain: You have done nothing. The "major blow" you gave probably has yielded quite a load for you to happily take in for show and tell, but considering that that these loads come off a never-ending conveyor belt (random human being included), I guarantee you that it was about as significant as your neighborhood's electricity failing for about an hour.

So no, you don't deserve a round a applause, are you fucking kidding me?

Start doing some actual police work, such as solving a cold case homicide, and then you can pat yourself on the back and brag all about it to the media, ya putz.

~$400,000,000,000 - $140,000 = ~$399,999,860,000 <-- Not impressive whatsoever.

/smh - These wannabe thugs must have sworn to protect their own interests, and to serve no one but themselves. These are not cops people - don't help them find their next victim(s).

Cops number one mission is to go after drugs and cash. They no longer serve or protect the public, only destroy families and ruin innocent peoples lives over drug charges.. They go after the cash and drugs b/c they get to take the cars, money and homes of anyone caught with drugs plus the Federal gov't gives police departments grants for making drug arrests... yeah sounds more like a war on people then a 'war on drugs'... such nonsense
