Cwe codeine questions/concerns

Ive been doing cwe for ages know how to do it but unfortunately i have not got any decent filters so been using my tshirt the first problem is that its harder to squeeze the good stuff and not get excess water becauze of the surface area thisis probably irrelevant though.

My main concern is the final extraction, It seems to take a long time to come on and I cant taste much bitterness but I think this is because of the filter letting binders through and these are interfering with the taste hence why their is little bitterness im still paranoid that i lost some codeine or their i still some codeine within the big ball of white i let them sit in water for over half an hour, warm water, and stirred regularly i could feel absolutely no lumps in the bottom while i did filter it so just wanted to see if anyone could put my mind at rest i would post this in the cwe thread but cant remember where that thread is thankyou

Instead of a T-shirt, you could try a piece of an old dress shirt as they have finer weaving/ thread count and are less absorbent regarding the wicking effect.

Or good ol' basket coffee filters, hard to beat those except for the wringing out part.
