I can tell you that hell is real
I was swimming there last night
there are no life buoys
sweating it out
infinite hours
upper case remorse
thin chalky outlines
black and blue hearts
guilty of this
thinking of that
loquacious demons
the orchestra goes about its business
unresponsive Gods
untreatable withdrawals
unwanted nothing
dripping down
into nothing
loud cracks in the walls
dogs prowling outside
a dead loved one in a frame next to you
writhing
strictured
affray
dreadfully dry
the old structure always remains
brain zaps
pertinent reminders
then the cat begins to gnaw
he thought you stopped breathing
because you've run out of water
and you've stopped swimming
you're a fish
that's why the cat wants you
funny little clown fish
you wrote this song
it's one hell of a sandstorm inside
you're a famous techno DJ named Darude
the fish know what I speak of
the fishes set the tenor for tonight
this fish was born out of water
that fish writes alone
my own fish is a little bit insane
all the fishes
and octopi
and even the whales
now know
that my riddled fish mind was the first
and the last to go
