Hi guys,

I suffer from pretty bad anxiety etc. WAY worse than the average person. I am not able to make new friends or anything even after therapy.

I'm sort of looking for a more sustainable way to induce an MDMA-like state that is also safer. Something I can use every weekend or every other weekend. The more often I can safely use it the better tbh... It should also be legal so I can easily obtain it. MDMA is the only thing that fixes me completely (I suspect things like cocaine would too, though short lived).

I'm in the UK btw so banned substances may be different here than in America.

If you suffer from anxiety then personally I wouldnt start trying new substances. Some of the legal ones have been known to be worse than illegal drugs. I mean take spice for example.

Anyway, as someone who suffered from anxiety for years and used drugs to deal with it, Im telling you it can get MUCH WORSE. MDMA when taken responsively is up there with some of the safest drugs to take, however that doesnt mean it doesnt effect people in a negative way (such as me). If you think you have bad anxiety now try living with chronic depersonilisation disorder and feeling like you live in a different reality all the time.

Before I go this illness, I used MDMA to 'cure' my anxiety. I used it around 8 times a year and after every session it would leave me with an afterglow for a week that would help my anxiety. Then itd just come back in full force again. You need to learn to address the anxiety not mask it with drugs.

Plus I dont believe there is any compound available that you are asking for that will meet your needs and it considered safe to take weekly. If youre anxiety is that bad you wouldnt even touch caffeine.

While I wouldn't say that phenibut is anywhere close to MDMA, I was wondering if you had tried it at doses of 1.5g to 2.grams? At low doses it acts like a mild anti anxiety med but at higher doses it enhances music and feelings of mild empathy. It can really be helpful to those of who want to escape the anxiety riddled mind at least for a little while. MDAI was nice and mellow and lacked anxiety producing stimulating effects but its been gone for a long time.

I too suffer from paranoia and anxiety. Stimulants like MDMA will only make that worse. You need a downer that will act as a beta blocker so you feel calmer. I'm personally investing into an empathogen that is not a stimulant.

Ello,

We can't really be telling people what they can/should take over at bluelight. Amongst some of the reasons are that legal systems differ considerably between different countries. For example you're from the UK and technically all psychoactive substances are now illegal under the psychoactive substances act. Also, with regard to what is safe; well that is subjective, situational, and often highly contested.

There are a wide range of MDMA like substances called empathogens, and whether or not they would help you to socialise just really depends on you/the substance. Long term use could actually cause you problems, especially if you suffer from anxiety. And the safety profile for many is quite simply unknown. Whilst phenibut is probably amongst the most innocuous 'drugs' you could take and widely considered a pretty benign nootropic, again, it just completely depends and is actually largely unknown. Phenibut can be quite addictive, and withdrawal isn't a good thing to experience; especially for people who already suffer from anxiety.

So yeah, I'm closing this because it is a "what should/can I take" thread. Sorry, I hate to do that, especially when I know that you just want to right your anxieties; but you've received some good answers anyway, and really the best way to tackle your social anxiety is head on, because unfortunately, masking with substances always comes with a catch.
