Really enjoying this continuation of the popular Child's Play franchise, that I purchased on Amazon. Has many returning characters from the movies. Original protagonist Andy Barclay included!
The plot now revolves around a gay teenager who is basically caught up in an unfortunate series of events, caused of course, by Chucky, a killer doll possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer from his town. He picks up the doll at a yard sale, and it turns out he just happens to purchase Chucky himself. How unlucky...
I think it was a very good idea to revive the franchise in an episodic format, rather than as yet another VOD, off shoot movie. Makes for great ways to serve as both a sequel and a prequel to detail Chucky's early days.
