I was reading about people ODing recently and had a question. Once in 9th grade I took 20mgs of vicodin which would've been a normal dose for back then (with 2k mgs of apap) then a 30 mg oxy contain and for about 5 days after that I was nauseous and had chest pains when I breathed deep. I'm sure the nausea was due to taking too much but I've never really been sick more than just the next day after taking opiates since then. What caused the chest pains from deep breathing?

Probably just some minor inflammation of either the lung tissue or the area surrounding the heart. As long as it went away, its no problem, but obviously that much in one dose was too much for you
