I have some extract of cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa), and after doing a bit of reading I am led to believe this plant is an MAOI, CYP450/CYP2D6 Inhibitor, NMDA Antagonist, and Pain Killer.

In the range of 1-5 grams, the effect alone is very euphoric, earthy, calming, and analgesic. After doing some reading, it is mindboggling, the range and level of apparent physical health effects on the body of this plant...

Does anybody have any information? ..

I've used Cat's Claw for back pain in the past. It provided mild relief but it's supposed to be more effective for rheumatoid arthritis. Never noticed any particular intoxication of any kind though. Never heard anything about MAOI or NMDA antagonist properties when researching it, nor did it really seem to possess any CNS effects for me.
