Carl Sagan/Racism

Hey, I'm not really smart but just judging from some of Carl Sagan's early work is he kind of a racist?
Like super hard?
 
Never heard such a thing. What makes you think that, do you have some examples?

I googled it and this thread is in the top results, but I also found this statement:

Wow, I've never heard of Carl being a racist. I've heard of Darwin being one (and quite true actually) and I'm sure there are others in is vein.
