Can you get in trouble for having weed smoke in the car?

If you got pulled over by a cop and you rolled your window down and weed smoke poured out and the cop searched your car but couldn't find anything but weed smoke, could you get a ticket/arrested for this?

I don't know if this type of question is allowed at bl as it might be considered legal advice, but yes they could probably give you a DUI and wreckless driving as well as probably a handful of other charges.

I think it would largely depend on why the cop pulled you over in the first place. I've been pulled over before for only going a few mph over the speed limit. But I imagine if you were driving like a complete idiot the situation would be more serious.

Then again I've never been in a situation where "weed smoke poured out" of my car when I've encountered the police, so who knows. If you're worried about it than buy a cheap air freshener and roll down your windows.
