Bupe Buprenex vs Suboxone

So the Vet gave my cat a take home syringe of Buprenex
3mg/ml

There is 2ml in the syringe

It reads that it is to be used I.M.

I'm curious how well this would work for a human in opiate withdrawal?
Would I.M. be the most effective way to use it? (longest duration?)
 
Would it be more effective to squirt it under the tongue?

(My cat is doing great, for anyone who is worried about the feline.)

I know Buprenex is not used for WDs but I am just curious about the how well an I.M. shot would actually work for opiate withdrawal...?

Unless you're inexperienced with injections there's no issue taking the drug as directed, in this case IM. Just be careful not to over do it and you should have someone with you for the "just in case" factor. Do you have experience with this drug? I do not, but others around here are familiar with it and I'm sure can add some wisdom.
 
I have a very high tolerance to opiates but very little experience with Suboxone.

and this was actually given to my cat from the vet (not a swim attempt)
It's meant to be given IM to a cat.

been in the fridge for a few days now...any idea on the shelf life?
