bufotenine found in amanita species

The species Amanita Citrina, or the false death cap, is said to contain bufotenine. The mushrooms themselves are not considered to be lethal in ordinary culinary doses. Does anyone know in what amount? Is it usable in any form other than with MAOI? I've seen either these things or death caps growing near me. I probably wouldn't risk it without a mycologist present but i was thinking about trying them if there's a way.

as a side note, it's interesting that one genus would have multiple hallucinogenic species, especially with completely different mechanisms of action.
