Welcome to here, where you are now, presumably.

It's time for another poetry contest, but we're going to have a topic this time. The winner will...win...a custom title related to that topic.

Let's brainstorm some good prompts, and then I'll add them to a poll for which we can vote for a consensus topic.

If you'd prefer we choose, that's fine, too! We just wanted to open it up to things about which people want to write.

Usually choosing a topic is the tough part for me.. i would prefer you guys decide

My entry:

These Eyes

These eyes
These unpolished sovereigns
These village idiots
These toilets

Two failed guardsmen without moral value

These two uncharted waters of doom and pain
Part jelly, unseasoned

These two down on their luck, end of pier balding comics or tasteless chat-show hosts.
Within which Christ's living light bends back
The unutterable meaninglessness of being.

I'm gonna go off now, Christ I'm out of breath typing all that I'm gonna go off now and get smashed up...on coke....and booze.
