does anyone else like this game?

i did not realize it was getting so popular until i tried to buy it last weekend. i had to go to a few stores before i could find it in stock.

At college this was such a bomb game to get smashed and play all night. Christ, I still don't know how to play it. I tried to play a few times afterward, but was always interrupted. Seems like a really amusing game to play though.

this is a very fun game, but unfortunately, the politicking and awful gloating / hyper-competiveness of me and my housemates make us rarely play it. we all hate to lose and for the most part, are huge pricks while winning.

so i finally bought it last night. for xbox :D its a really fun game for sure! ill be getting the board game as well because you cant play against someone on the same xbox because of the cards. still tons fo fun to play against others. they incorporated 16 different emotes into the xbox version, you can target someone as winning the game, throw hearts at them, or a fireball if youre angry. its really neat and of course voice chat is enabled. im hooked already!

I absolutely love this game...a friend of mine has several different sets, and you can put them together so lots of people can play with lots of new twists and rules! So glad someone resurrected this poll!

Settlers is fun but you gotta have the Cities and Knights expansion to make it interesting. We play quite a lot and I manage a win now and then but man it's tough when your #s don't hit.

I like Dominion a lot also.. card game like magic but you all start with same cards and draw from same bank so it's completely fair and pretty much all skill (and you only have to buy 1 box for everybody to play, not like magic at all).

lol so when you start losing you just revert to verbal low blows? im completely on board with that tactic :D
i finally beat the computer on "hard" yesterday. i didnt have longest road or largest army, i just managed to city up and get one vp card. ive never stressed over an achievement more.

Been playing the Explorers & Pirates expansion pack since release about 10 years ago.

It's the best way to play Catan with 2 players. A must have if you don't have a third or fourth person.
