Best Rave Documentaries

I don't think there's much out there without getting into the whole drug crossover thing where it becomes a discussion on what drugs do.

Go and Kids recreate a bit of what it was like. Maybe look into pre-rave, NY club culture in the late 80s aka Party Monster, Michael Alig. But NY club culture isn't rave culture.

The high point of rave culture was 1989, early 90s. Summer of love 1989,

Although Loladamusica - Gabber (1995, english subs) is probably more true to form:

Here's a small write up and short clip on Sydney (Australia) raves -

I went to that rave in the train sheds.

Our rave scene was very English orientated in the early days, it started here in the late 80's, but dance parties with the word 'rave' on the fliers only sprung up here in early 1991 I think. Our early rave scene had loads of UK ravers and DJ's and promoters, but by a few years later, say 1993 alot of the Uk ravers and promoters had left the scene as it became more commercial and much younger punters started going and the music really started to speed up.

Summer of love - 13 mins or so, the part about Kylie and Jason from Neighbours from their late 80's hit on Aussie tv. I forgot how popular that show was over in the UK, that was funny. I recall watching some of that show before I got into raves here. lol
