Sounds easy and simple and it is.

So going with US terminology.

Emptied laundry detergent bottles.
Emptied vitamin containers
Emptied prescription bottles, remove your labels as long as the pathetic drug war is on

Could mess with recycling?

Truck stop sharps containers.
Troublesome to deliver them?

Needle exchange.. looks good but has problems due to addiction and how addicts are treated. Why wouldn’t a respectable human, that’s being thrown into the gutter, throw a needle in the gutter?

So how do these get disposed of properly, so anti drug users can’t use fear to demonize IV drug users?

We dispose of them safely and take the high road.

I always used to twist the needle of of 29 g insulin syringes and put them inside the barrel. Then I'd usually put it all in a soda can .

Why does it need to be free? It should be cheap.
I saw on Shark Tank someone selling these as a luxury good for multiple dollars a unit, when the product was a couple cents.
This product should be sold by a non-profit for near cost, and put the profits into harm reduction etc.
If they cost .07$, sell them for a quarter each or 10 for a dollar, and you can actively fund the solution.
