Combining opiates with benzos is very dangerous as they are both strong CNS depressant (particularly true for methadone, but also applies to other opiates...), so know your tolerance, know your limits, that being said yes, i personally in the past enjoyed combing opiates with benzos.
Also promethazine is great for potentiating codeine, and limiting the itchiness, and hydroxyzine (atarax) potentiates most opiates...
Otherwise opiates on the tail end of a stim and/or psych psychadelic stim trip is very pleasant, as it masks the come-down.
What opiate(s) do you take OP? how often? what doses and ROA?

The best combinations that I have heard are the most intense times of ones life would be,
1.) Intranasally a Dilaudid tab with a little MDMA, (most intense yet to hear of)
- Reason being I have heard that fast onset of the dilaudid including much euphoria and that "warm fuzzy" feeling that makes one enjoy anything. After 10 minutes of that, the MDMA swoops in and adds to the euphoria immensely as well as giving one energy while basking in the greatness of the dilaudid's magic touch. By the time one hit his/her peak, they are blabbering on for what feels like years and as happy as if they won the lottery while his/her body feels like coming next to a warm cozy fire after freezing In the cold.
2.) A fairly large dose of vyvanse orally, depending upon ones tolerance, mixing with a good amount of Oxy Intranasally right as the stimulant peak subsides.
- Reason being is that vyvanse has a sort of weird high. It starts out kind of foggy and kind of like a mediocre buzz. Then as soon as it converts to the actual recreational state it hits one like a wrecking ball filled with so much euphoria one just wants to talk to everyone or even impulsively do things because of how excited one could be. As the stimulant works it's magic it must, sadly, begin to comedown and when that happens one kind of feels some anxiety and restlessness but if one gets the fair amount of Oxy just at the end of the vyvanse peak, the Oxy with eliminate all side effects and increase euphoria and talkativeness again but this time with a feeling in ones body and mind that it is the 6th Christmas and he/she is sitting next to a fire opening what Santa has brought for them.
3.) Half of desired Oxy amount Intranasally, then a decent sized BUMP (not line) of some good Coke Intranasally obviously, then topping off with the other half of you Oxy Intranasally.
- Reason being, this mixture is good if one would be going out that night for a party. Starting out with half of ones desired amount of Oxy Intranasally helps the bump of Coke be so much better, but this only works if the Coke is raw, clean. The Oxy gives you the feeling I have described a couple times already, then with a bump of good Coke one will literally be talking to any one that crosses his/her path and feeling like that person has been a long time best friend with him/her since preschool daycare. The half Oxy chills one out not letting themselves do stupid shit on the stimulating Coke, but doesn't stop one from fantasizing about crazy things to do with others and getting some great laughs and stories. Finally the last dose takes away all Coke side effects and let's one just enjoy themselves and slowly but surely fall completely asleep, maintaining a solid smile from ear to ear.
