I've been tapering from 1.5mg daily down to .175 daily for 2 months. After doing .175 for two weeks could I just stop or go every other day? Is .175 meaningless to the body or what? I take care for two babies during the day and I can't afford to be sick.

Greets and welcome to Bluelight. I hope this forum can help you.. :)

What benzo are you currently on? I'm guessing either Clonazepam (Klonopin) of Alprazolam (Xanax)?

By the sounds of it you've been using for quite a while so tapering gently is the sensible thing to do. If you can get your GP to prescribe you Diazepam (Valium), then that should make the taper a bit more manageable, as Diazepam is a longer acting and weaker dose for dose than Xanax or Klonopin and many find it easier to use for that final bit of the taper due to the fact that it comes in small dosed tablets and even liquid form. If you're not getting them from your GP then I'd still suggest trying the Diazepam route.

A couple of links that may help - http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/566261-Benzodiazepine-Conversion-Chart

I'm currently tapering off Diazepam and I'm at 22mg Diazepam per day.

Good luck! l(http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/bzsched.htm
