Baclofen! Blackouts?

I started taking this as a means to curb withdrawal symptoms and after getting clean found out that the high from it was awesome! I was taking 20mg 3 times a day. It had me in a 24/7 state of euphoria.

Eventually when I ran out because I started taking about 4-5 a day I started having withdrawal symptoms. It was kind of like benzo withdrawal. Later on when I went many more months on baclofen it became a terrifyingly horrible benzo and opiate withdrawal combined!

Tapering off however is actually pretty easy providing you have enough. I went from a lot 8-10 a day to 3 a day, 2 a day, then 3x 10mg a day, then none for 2 days, then 10mg a day for a week, then stopped. It really only takes about a few full days (less than a week) to get used to the lower dose. The first 2 days are usually a little rough but by day 3 you?re actually felling good.

First of all do not take high doses if your body ain?t used to it. It has violent reprocussions.

Second if you?ve been take a high doses at once this will happen (the high dose is dependent on where your tolerance is at, Ive had this happen with 4 at once). This has happened to me numerous times and while taking or withdrawing from no other substances including alcohol. I?ve scoured the internet trying to find someone who had the same happen and only one case showed up.

This phenomenon is random it can occur at one time high dose or sometimes in a case of taking 7pills every morning. Usually it takes a few hours for this effect to happen:

You back out. In blocks. For instance I?ll be at work inside doing tasks and end up in the parking lot 20 minutes later. Or wake up in the neighbors yard after being awoken by tripping over the curb. The worst of these I awoke in the split second before falling down a stair well. And as many times as I would right myself after the first incident it would continue for several hours afterward. Even if I go to bed after one of these episodes I?d wake up after hitting a wall in the kitchen or some object outside. I?ve been waken up by other people always asking me if I?m ok or you looked in a daze.

Has anyone else had this same experience??

Moderator; can you move this to other drugs. It keeps giving me an error saying ?you must select a thread prefix? thanks

I have not used baclofen but it is an analog of phenibut. I have gotten shakes after finishing a single 100g tub of phenibut. No blackouts however.

My Achilles heel happens to be Ambien and some of the things that have happened under the influence of it I wouldn't tell a priest, but it would appear that GABA-B drugs like Baclofen are the ones you should avoid. I would take what's happened and remember it next time the opportunity arises and something like Baclofen, Carisoporodol, Phenibut, etc. present themselves. IMO RC benzos are even worse and effect far more people than just the gaba-b drugs.

Even though Soma acts upon the barbiturate binding sites and Phenibut is more about Voltage Dependent Calcium Channels than gaba-b, it's best to treat them all as troublesome if you have anything important to deal with. I know it's rough because functioning on them is so easy, but when they turn on you it can cause a real mess. I remember coming to during a poker game once and owing the house my first born. They weren't impressed by my excuse of being on pills.

But to answer your question it's really not that uncommon, although usually with things like Clonazolam, Flubromazepam, etc, more so than Baclofen which many consider to be as strong as aspirin.

This drug is the only drug I have ever overdosed on. I was prescribed it but always took around 90mg instead of 20 too get the GABA-B Ghb/1,4b like effects.

One night when going to the casino with a few mates I had 100mg then left. About half an hour later i started feeling really juicy like I had had a modarate charge (2ml 1,4b for my size) then while playing blackjack I just blewout (aus term for oding of G) but it was from the baclafen as I hadnt consumed any other drugs.

My friends described the overdose actions EXTREAMLY simular too people blowing out... weird stretches, body jerks, in and out of consiousness many times.

All I remember was opening my eyes 8 hours later confused as FUCK as i had no memory of the events staring at the roof then seeing tubes in me ect.

So BE CARFUL with recreational baclafen dosages!

Baclofen doesn't help me at all. It's like taking an aspirin or tylenol, imo. I have 2 whole bottles from August when I was in 2 separate accidents within 2 weeks.

baclofen is pretty similar to phenibut, and I have a lot of experience with high doses and I've experienced the exact thing you're saying. One night, I had been taking phenibut, after a long break, so I wanted the good manic euphoria of the last time I'd been using it. I took a lot and fell asleep. I awoke 1.5 hours late for work, and I was supposed to be in a town 1 hr away for a survey, as I was working for a contractor and we would go from job to job, 3-5 a day, all in different towns. The initial shock of being late had me full of adrenalin, so I got there ok and helped finish the first job alright. On the way to the 2nd job, shit got bad

I started blacking out behind the wheel, and eventually I drove off the road and nearly crashed into a bunch of signs on a median, luckily I came to in time to turn away and I only lost my drivers side mirror and scraped up my car really badly. It was like something out of the dukes of hazard, I drove off the road, into a median/ditch thing, turned just right and ramped up a gradient, got some air, and landed right back on the road, in my lane, in the exact order of cars from when I left the road. Lucky. Lucky. Lucky.

The second job, I would get a task, and would black out, and be somewhere else with no clue of what I was fucking doing. It was weird, but I guess no one noticed. It happened so many times at that job, and we were there for a really long time. I'd be in the attic, and I'd come to in the garage, doing something else. Its scary. it kept happening all day until i got home at last, and i still blacked out driving home. It was bad news man, the only thing that stopped it was cutting WAY back and stabalizing on a dose that had me normal while not being high in any way.
