Heroin Are there more ways to use/do Heroin that I don't know about?

My husband and I have been off and on users of many different drugs for the past 15 years we've been together. We were both drug users prior to meeting. We are both 48 years old and been I have been using opiates, meth, cocaine, hallucinogens, etc. for over 25 years and he has been using the same for over 35 years. This go round we've been using fent dope (heroin) for over 2 years. I've been using IV method. He has not used a needle in over 4 years and won't. Snorting it really messed up his sinuses, boofing it is inconvenient to him, plus he has a lot of bowel issues so he's afraid it might make that worse. Smoking it does nothing for him and burns his throat and smells awful! And the latest way has been to break it down like a iv shot but remove the needle and snort the water. Recently that has started to choke him. Are there any other ways that he could try to do it other than those methods he's tried? We are to the point where we are ready for a much needed break from the drug all together. We usually go hard for a year or 2 and then take a year or so break from it and go back to our true love which is weed concentrates, well any weed products and our very fave ketamine! But until we can get off this stuff, is there a way of doing it other than the ways I've mentioned? Thanks so much in advance for any advice/ feedback you can share with me. And no need to point out that he's being a baby about this. I'm already aware of that fact. Lol.
 
Buccal and sublingual are definitely good methods

Another thing to try is a nasal spray or simply decreasing the amount of water that he dissolves it in, that should decrease the postnasal drip and improve absorption in the sinus
 
There aren't really any secrets like how you're describing. The routes of administration are the usual:

Oral, Buccal, Pneumatic/Vaporizing/Smoking, the various injection routes etc. A "secret" one that not many know about is the rectal route. Those wo know me know that I'm a major, major proponent for folks trying rectal administration. It provides one of the strongest. fastest hits available for an ROA that carries none of the risks of injection. When I use Opioids via the rectal route, I get a "full body" feeling like I feel the warmth coming from my rectum and spreading, like "injection lite" in this regard.

There are other ROA's like intraspinal, intrathecal and others which present totally different parameters and effects to the other ROA's. However, it's a waste of time to discuss them as they can really only be administered by specialists i.e. anesthesiologists.

You can use it literally any ROA.
Injected into a vein
Injected into a muscle
Injected subcutaneously (under the skin or into the visceral fat directly beneath the skin)
Rectally (using an oral syringe NOT a needle)
Sublingually (under the tongue)
Buccally
Snorted (dry or dissolved in water)
 
^I would advise against rectally if his bowel problem is constipation as if you have poop up there, the poop will absorb the drug and waste it
