Another DMT extraction Q

Hi, this is my first extraction following Cyb's Max Ion tek and I fear I may have overdone the acetic acid. I used 7ml of glacial acetic acid to 70g NAOH and ~1.5L of solution.

It's gone typically black and bleachy - should this be alright? I'm shooting for a pH ~2.

Please take pity on my dyscalcula and spare me the molarity arithmetic. =P

Black is good IME.It will also smell "basic"...no other way to describe it.
Even though I am well versed in all the chemistry molar this and molar that when it comes to a sjmple extraction I usually use my eyes and nose.
Like I said, when it turns black you should be good.
Just don't throw ANYTHING away until you know that you are finished and have the product.
