American Prescription Drug Laws

I'm visiting the United States for an extended period from a Western country. I'd like to have some Ritalin mailed to me which was obtained 100% legitimately, with proper prescription etc. I used it very infrequently and so the prescriptions are old (1-2 years) but in their original bottles, with my name on them and so forth.

Is this kosher? Is there a statute of limitations on prescription drugs or anything like that?
