Been smoking meth several times a day for a week now and already chasing that first high. I smoked and snorted around .2 over the course of a couple hours and right now I just have a typical amphetamine come down, tired but can't sleep... nothing really important in this, just speaking my mind. can anyone relate to this?

"chasing the dragon" is pretty common among anyone who uses drugs that cause a lot of stimulation in the pleasure centers of the brain, most commonly noted are meth and heroin. You experience massive increase in dopamine and other "pleasure" neurotransmitters followed by the comedown, or a depletion of those chemicals. With stimulants, the high is the flood of pleasurable neurotransmitters and the low is the lack of them. The body normally releases them slowly as a way to reinforce specific behavior. When you take a drug that causes them to be released all at once then it takes a while for the body to replenish its reserves.
