Account activation wait time?

Hi all. I recently registered and am apparently awaiting approval. I thought it was an activation email issue and wrestled with that for awhile but now I figure maybe there is a time factor before a new account is approved. Is this true and how long is the wait? Thanks and looking forward to being a part of the community.

Still awaiting a reply. This is the third day since registering. Admins, mods, or members can you please help me out?
