A little while ago I did 250mic on my first trip by myself. Needless to say I tripped balls and had a very bad time. I was wondering if I split the Dose to 125mics it would be less intense and keep me from freaking out like I previously did? What's the difference between those doses mind and visual wise...?

It may be less intense, but at that point you gotta ask yourself are you trying to get high? Or have a psychedelic experience?
And at that point you gotta ask, why am I taking psychedelics?
Psychedelics are dosed high, choose the proper set and setting.
Smaller doses will offer unresolved revelations, in my opinion.

The differences will vary from person to person, but it is absolutely possible (even likely) that 125 mcg will be a better dose for you (since 250 was too much.)
I disagree with Crashing's implication that psychedelics must always be dosed high. Moderate and small doses have their place and are not without purpose, especially for people who dislike high doses.
