14-HYDROXYCODEINONE safety of substance

I understand this is a derivative of codeine and very similar in compound to oxycodone. I read something online about this substance being fatal to ingest or touch. Is that true is this substance is dangerous? I assumed since it is supposed to be very similar to drug oxycodone it would safe for human consumption. I believe it is also considered to precursor to hydrocodone and oxycodone? So it could probably be synthesized into one of the other two drugs for safe consumption?

Yeah it's an oxycodone precursor but it has an alpha,beta-unsaturated ketone group which can react with proteins and/or DNA.
For this reason it's considered to be unsafe for human consumption (genotoxic), a small dose won't kill you or anything like that (probably) but I wouldn't recommend taking it.
