We've moved to the freenode network, so there are new instructions for getting on the channel! They're easier than ever.

If you don't have an IRC client already, and don't feel like downloading and installing one even though it's really easy, then you can just go to this URL to start chatting:

Enter a nickname and then click Connect.

Those using other IRC clients can connect to irc.freenode.net (SSL ports 7000 and 7070) and join #BluelightED to chat with us.

We've moved the Ecstasy Discussion Chat to a new IRC server.

Coolio was awesome enough to put together some instructions, please see above, and of course feel free to use this thread to ask questions.

socalthizzn, you're not at risk of anything by using a site with a misconfigured SSL certificate, except man-in-the-middle attacks.

For MacOS X users, I recommend you download http://colloquy.info/downloads.html to chat with us and leave it running when you're not at the computer.

For Windows users, I recommend either http://www.smuxi.org/page/Download or http://www.kvirc.net/?id=releases&platform=win32&lang=en as good open source clients. Also leave them running even when you're not at the computer.

I totally agree!! This server seems much more stable, I'm certainly glad that we moved.
