DPT - a true gem, or an ugly demon?

so what are peoples thoughts on this, i used to love mushrooms, and being in a wierd world always interests me, i hear dpt can be quite intense!! what are peoples thoughts on this chem?

I find it a true gem at lower dosages, absolutely stunning augmenting of reality. But I never even got to truly sick doses because as I increased the body load was downright disgusting for me.
Compounds like LSD and DMT have somewhere in them the potential to show you a deep cosmic vibration that is beyond beautiful and quite refined. DPT on the other hand is associated (at least in me) with a jarring shaky vibration that buzzes me right out the window.
To here and no further athank you.

DPT is fucking awesome. It enhances sex at low doses (20-30mg) and utterly obliterates the self at high doses (100-150). Can be frightening in the shaking aspect (physical) but the OMness of it is great!! :) Tread cautiously...

DPT at it's finest is an incredible psychedelic - as with other psyches tho set/setting play a huge role but if you catch an updraught it's possible there may be nothing finer. Be prepared to be blown away if you go high - some people seem to experience a much greater bodyload than others - continuous shaking being one such sypmtom I've observed.

Is it because of the people of because of the product? Hmm maybe both are possible. I for one experience the shaking and it does leave a dirty impression doesnt it.

DPT is one of my favourite psychedelics. at 100 mg nasal, it is incredibly profound, and luckily I don't experience a bad bodyload.

I respect DPT greatly, but tend to use DMT more frequently. Both are capable of generating the kind of bizarre and weird imaginings that I know and love, but DPT sometimes seems to have the more twisted darker edge. My first time on it, some five years ago showed me that, although I think that Daniel Pinchbeck's published experiences in 'Breaking Open The Head' may have tainted the popular view of it towards the dark side, even in those who haven't read the book, through chatboard discussion etc.
Having said that, I still enjoy it's kinkiness, provided I am in the right frame of mind. It still seems to be showing me a part of my own mind, albeit a weird and rarely accessed one. Although the peak usually lasts a little longer than DMT does (either vaped or with Moclobemide) I am still amazed and thrilled in a positive way overall, despite it getting a little mentally hairy at times.
I also have learned to love the vibrations, by analysing them in terms of my physical body (Stretching and extending my muscles and limbs to test the sensations). This can be extremely pleasurable in a borderline kinky sexual way.
Enjoy. I think the slightly suspicious reputation of this material is a little bit undeserved when used with reasonable care in a safe setting.
Peace - my two penneth worth - Pipp

So far I seem to have not suffered any noticeable degree of shaking, my wife however on a similar/same dose was fucking vibrating :\

Utterly wonderful stuff - wish I had more (some actually I lost my last load of DPT)

^Off wth your head!! One must never lose Deep ET. ;)

If you've had 4-Ho-DiPT, and experienced the tremors, multply it by somebignumber and there you go. The thing that concerns me with DPT is whether or not the shakng is pre-seizure and could go that way; though I've not read about that anywhere....

Tried it once with a cumulative dose of 125 mg over about 2 hours. Started off with 50 mg which gave mild ego dissolution and general lower-end +3 psychedelic effects, with not much in the way of visuals. The booster doses took me into a full-blown psychedelic state in which I could not do much but lay down and say stuff like "what is this?" and "I am ready to die now". This was accompanied by visuals, thoughts, tactile sensations mixed up into one, buzzing conciousness. All very intense.

Pretty much what a high dose should be like - the main difference being that taking several small doses provided a smooth ascent/descent into this state. The bodily discomfort was intense, but this seemed to be more akin to what a woman in childbirth feels, not what a strung-out druggie feels - and there was none of the darkness others have reported. On the contrary, this trip was characterized by a shameless and natural indulgence in all things sensory - and, by extension in this psychedelic state, all things cognitive.

Regarding the tremors leading to seizures issues, there are a few Erowid reports describing seizures. With any material, you should always work upwards gradually with the dose to minimise your risks. In my experience though, 100mg insufflated will give me tremors but no fitting. As mentioned in above posts, that is a good dose for a vivid mental trip and a fascinating experience. That would be my sweet spot.
Go on Bare Head. You'll have a great time. Best wishes - Pipp

Not only a gem, but in fact one of the few psychedelics worth wasting any time with.

Me frikken too!! How annoying.
I only had it for a brief period of time, when I was living in a different part of the country, and I didn't get to explore this seemingly remarkable substance with enough depth. And it was in my very early days of my psychedelic journey.

I totally want to aquire some of this elusive material and really go deep now. It is definitely right up there on my top list of psychedelics to get when I see them.

I do wish it was still around :( !'Boo to 'Operation Web Tryp'!

what is most strange is that the general consesus on a large russian board seems to be that DPT is a useless substance which feels toxic, IIRC. I'll look for a quote.

"Btw, I do not share the amusement with DPT I can see here. This is one of the worst psychoactive tryptamines I ever tasted. It has nothing in common with DMT or mushrooms. Rather a pointles GHB-like state with visuals that are, indeed, quite strong. I can not even name it a psychedelic. Dissociative, maybe? A sort of tryptamine narcosis. Every person I have communicated personally about it think the same. As everyone at behigh.org/inv. Surprisingly, Bluelight thinks different. "-Erny in the MPT thread

While I do think it feels (subjectively) 'toxic', I think it is defintely a strong and powerful hallucinogen. Most psychedelics, at high doses, could be defined as 'dissociative', esp. DPT. I thnk the way DPT "falls down" is that people expect it to be similar to other, analogous drugs (such as mushrooms or DMT) when its actually in a league of its own.

Whilst I dislike the term entheogen, DPT is one drug that could be called that; excpet, as opposed to awakenng the god within, it allows contact with the god with-out. Extheogen maybe? :D

DPT silky seductress: ONE-HOUR LONG ORGASM or Purple Passion Prose of the Propyl Product or Epinoia (..."I had actually literally creamed my pants")

Read the hour long organism report a while back, made me really want to try ketamine + tyrptamines.

Would having ket on hand for a first DPT trip be a good idea, as a means of escape if things go too dark? Or is it worth just experiencing whatever it throws at you and learning from this? I could sort of imagine ket making a dark trip worse though, my only ket + psych experience was having several generous lines whilst on HBWR. At first it catapulted me up to a wonderfully psychedelic state of joy, I lost contact with the physical world for about half an hour I would say. When I returned things started to get really confusing and lots of anxiety developed. Probably mostly psychosomatic but I experienced a shit load of vasoconstriction, which in my anxious state of mind was horrible. Sniffed some isopropyl nitrite in order to counter this, it worked but gave me an awfully unpleasant rush of paranoia (something I barely ever get on any drug) and anxiety.

Think I probably just went over the top in my ket dose though coupled with a somewhat too social setting. The key seems to be doing very small doses of ket with psychs to enhance them. On an unrelated note, a key of ket whilst on butylone produced a wonderful headspace and body buzz, with a psychedelic glean to my thoughts. It also gave me a feeling of contentment that would rival that of an opiate nod!

DPT is one of things I look forward to trying most. It's sounds exceptionally rich and varied, even if potentially dark.
