This song is really trippy and it grew on me, been listening to it a lot more lately:

Queens of the Stone Age - Un-Reborn Again

https://youtu.be/b_zf9Ug1ePU

Scaredy nose Jack
Scaredy nose Jack
Knowing nothing about nothing
It's a blessing in fact

Acid-faced Jake
Acid-faced Jake
He like them dancing straight boys
Makes his pupils dilate

Does he come quick?
Does he come quick?
Tell the doctor to come over
Bring emergency kit

Evil ol' Scratch
Evil ol' Scratch
He drink the water from the gutter
It's a natural fact

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Youth
You could be young again
Anew
Be un-reborn again
Askew

[Chorus 1]
Frozen in pose locked up in amber eternally
Buried so close to the fountain of youth you can almost reach

Frozen in pose locked up in amber eternally
Buried so close to the fountain of youth you can almost reach

A fever

[Verse 2]
Well, Chi Chi gone shake
Chi Chi gone shake
Ti rompo il culo
Se magnifiqu? ode lay

Twizzy gon' twitch
Twizzy gon' twitch
He said no huggy, no kissy
Until I get a wedding ring

K Dubs cuts quick
Taking no shit
Give a metal blowjob
Middle finger n' split

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Youth
You could be young again
Anew
Be un-reborn again
Right where the map ends, is where its hid
Under the X is where it lives
Askew

[Chorus 2]
Frozen in pose locked up in amber eternally
Buried so close to the fountain of youth I can almost reach

Frozen in pose locked up in amber eternally
Buried so close to the fountain of youth I can almost reach

I had a vision as clear as day (Frozen in pose locked up in amber eternally)
Delusions of grandeur in our DNA (Buried so close to the fountain of youth I can almost reach)
Every drop like an ocean, a moment of truth (Frozen in pose locked up in amber eternally)
Everybody was drowning in the fountain of youth (Buried so close to the fountain of youth I can almost reach)

Screaming, du-du, du-du, du-du la-di-duh
Screaming, du-du, du-du, du-du la-di-duh
Du-du, du-du, du-du la-di-duh-uhuh-uhai
Du-du, du-du, du-du la-di-duh

[Outro]
There's gotta be somewhere to bury the pain
You can drink from the water before it's been drained away
Every drop like an ocean, every moment undone
Implosions of beauty back to where we begun
There's gotta be somewhere to bury the pain
Everybody was drowning in the fountain of youth
Screaming, du-du, du-du, du-du la-di-duh
Screaming, mm-hm, mm-hm, hm-hm, hmmm-hmmm-hmmm

Alright I don't know how to post a proper thumbnail (WHAT A NOOB!) but you guys who have struggled through addiction need to hear this.

Benjamin tod - using again
It'll break your heart, trust me

Edit: and it's exactly how I fucking feel unfortunately

beautiful choices, mate ;)<3
The beauty of the blues is how is gets you to assimilate how you feel.
The beauty of Rock is how it gets you to catapult that feeling into action.
;)

(Bit late) And that's one hell of a tune. The rocker in me is never gonna die and soundgarden is one of my all time fav groups. And that's saying something seeing as i listen to 10,000 different bands lolol

^ hehe it's a gud 'un. ;) <3

That Benjamin Todd tune you posted the link to is lonesome but beautifully, heartfelt - love the soul in that performance, DopeJay. I'll post it here again for anyone quickly scrolling through. Just to let you know - if you click on the 'reel of film' icon ( second from the left on the tools bar above) and paste the you tube link in; it will imbed for you. If you were using your phone it may not have worked but just incase you didn't know.;)

...btw often the best of people imo are those who have gone through it, assimilated going through it and come through it, back to relay. There is no waste only a more actualised experience in this - difficult as hell but getting through hell can make you, you. This is not romanticism it is truth <3

Circumstantial suffering seemed to impart more wisdom than self imposed hell did ime. The latter was more a lesson in character flaws, immaturity & wasted potential.

This song is cool but the video rules

"Peace Be Still"

https://youtu.be/dUpKZz0Nm7c

I don't want to be afraid
Every time I face the waves
I don't want to be afraid
I don't want to be afraid
I don't want to fear the storm
Just because I hear the roar
I don't want to fear the storm
I don't want to fear the storm

Peace be still
Say the word and I will
Set my feet upon the sea
Till I'm dancing in the deep
Oh peace be still
You are here so it is well
Even when my eyes can't see
I will trust the voice that speaks

I'm not gonna be afraid
'Cause these waves are only waves
I'm not gonna be afraid
I'm not gonna be afraid
I'm not gonna fear the storm
You are greater than it's roar
I'm not gonna fear the storm
I'm not gonna fear at all

Let faith, rise up
Oh heart, believe
Let faith rise up in me

"You were here when I came,
And you'll be here when I'm gone.
So don't be waiting for love,
'Cause I'll be waiting to ramble on."

Brain health knows no judgement. Be kind to yourself. <3

"Promises"

Are you drunk enough
Not to judge what I'm doin'?
Are you high enough
To excuse that I'm ruined?
'Cause I'm ruined
Is it late enough
For you to come and stay over?
'Cause we're free to love
So tease me, hmmm
