Does anyone receive medical cannabis products on prescription?

We can't provide sources if that's what you're asking but if you have any other questions about weed we can answer them

I didn't mean to seem like I was asking about sources, sorry if it seemed that way.

Do any of you take cannabis prescription medication for pain, do you think it works well?

You didn't seem like you were asking for sources at all. The Network simply enjoys acting like a douchebag.

There are several states here in the US that treat chronic pain patients like yourself and they find relief from cannabis.

I don't know the process of getting mmj where you are, but it's worth looking into.

Good luck

Yeah I'd imagine it would help with your fibromyalgia, I've got a friend who's prescribed it for her fibromyalgia. It works for her whereas opioids and other treatment haven't.

I haven't tried weed for pain, but it does sound like it works well for some people with conditions similar to mine.

Any opinions?

I use recreationally mainly, but if I do get injured I will switch my regular strains out with the more pain relieving and sedating ones. ie indicas/indica-heavy hybrids. I actually used Dogwalker OG (mostly an Oregon/PNW strain I believe, so you're not going to find it in the UK I bet) yesterday because of some pain, worked really well.

Another good strain for that is Blood Diamond, also a heavy Indica hybrid.

MMJ is a lifesaver for me. I am in chronic pain, but manage to put it in the background and still keep active physically and intellectually.

AFAIK, there are reports of a select few people being prescribed cannabis products in this country. The most high profile is that kid with super severe epilepsy where they had to fight the horrible government and they got it in the end.

I need Cannabis to not be in suicidal levels of pain. Street cannabis works well but it's hard to get a consistent strain, since some are better than others.

Since medical cannabis has been gaining traction in the media here, I plan to go to my GP to make my case for a cannabis treatment to be prescribed to me. I've even looked into the action of THC on specific neurotransmitters, the basis behind reducing nerve pain in my case. I've put together an awesome sales pitch so I'm going to try this soon.

other uses of cannabis:

i know 2 other uses: 1= for softening cancer suffering. (i believe oil) 2= to have an assisted trip, that releaves the troubled mind of a pain sufferer.

Hi Inso,

Thanks for replying, I'm sorry you're suffering so much, really hope your GP is able to help, please let me know how you get on?

The kids who have been prescribed MMJ & people with MS who have been permitted it made my therapist suggest cannabis to me, she's seen me throwing up from pain & I was drinking to blackout just to try escape the physical & mental pain for a bit until the alcohol started making things even worse.

All the Best,
Peace,
Snufkin

Thanks.

Believe it or not I saw a documentary where a little old lady was sending weed in the post to her friends who also have MS. Search 'epilepsy cannabis oil England' to see the article about a boy who needed cannabis to eradicate most of his thousands of seizures a month. His mother had to fight hard to get it reinstated after the Home Office (they deal with immigration/borders) took it away from him and he ended up in Hospital and almost died.

Now the country is taking notice at last of the utter medical scandal that is the prevention of people using medical cannabis.

I woke up this morning in a level of pain that made me want to smash my bedroom up. I've had two joints of illegal but medical grade bud and I'm in 70 percent less pain and no longer want to kill myself.

I think I'm going to write a letter to someone in the medical establishment, with supporting scientific evidence.

Check this link out. It is the basis by which THC reduces the action of misfiring neurotransmitters in much the same way that anticonvulsant drugs do!

Let's be honest here this is the UK we don't need legal cannabis it's bloody everywhere I've enjoyed never been stopped even when I'm smoking it with fed cars coming last etc they don't give a shit about weed as long as your discreet if it became legal then the illegal market would crash plus it might be more expensive to buy legal than illegal I think kratom is more important and useful I only got to have a few batches I loved it it really felt special to me the effects I was gutted when they banned it haven't been able to link any since..

Yep. The quality is incredible everywhere. And apparently much of it is grown here...

The government would fuck up legalisation as they do everything else, meaning quality would suffer or prices would go up. Around London I get approached by people selling it far too often, it's practically growing on trees.

Sorry to sound like a whiney little Bitch by the way. I'm not... I'm just v frustrated with being in constant severe pain with no way to do anything about it.

I personally would like to have the choice that legalisation offers. I don't want my weed grown by illegal immigrant slaves using multitudes of chemicals to produce psychosis inducing mental weed at fuckin stupid prices.

Hi F.U.B.A.R, I totally agree. I don't want to be at any risk of psychosis, or even just paranoia. I just want to be able to get some relief from relatively safe MMJ. It doesn't seem a lot to ask, considering some of the toxic shit Doctors are prescribing instead.

Yeh, I cut my teeth on 80s hash - red and blonde Lebanese, red and gold seal black, double zero and slate Moroccan, with some Nepalese thrown in as a treat. I like my cannabinoid receptors tickled, rather than beaten into submission with a fuckin sledgehammer...

Although it looks like we (in the UK) are finally on the cusp of legalising cannabis products for medicinal use, we're still a long way from the liberal attitude afforded by many US states. From what I can gather, only pharmaceutical cannabis extracts will be available - tightly controlled and only prescribed for a few serious conditions. No seeing your doctor of choice, getting a general script for MMJ then popping down your local dispensary for an ounce of premium locally grown bud. We've still got a long way to go in this fuckin shithole of a country...

I still find it strange that some of the U.S. is so sensible about access to it, considering the state of the Country under Trump. Canada sounds great too.
