Rare check in from me, doesn't seem like 6 month since I last logged in but apparently so. Life is good! Decided to knock smoking weed on the head at the start of the summer (90% successfully heh) and it's been pretty transformative. Have had the best summer. Did 5 festivals and numerous raves. Thought I wanted to go back to working freelance so I could take the whole summer off to work every weekend at festivals (have a few friends who do this) but 5 made me realise that there is a limit and sometimes less is more. By the way, everyone should check out Illusive, definitely my highlight of the summer! Didn't think I was into all that *tek stuff but I spent too long at the Scrapyard at Boomtown this year and it's really grown on me. Amen4Tekno! :D
Cautiously signed up to Tinder around June and went on some weird dates where I felt I had to filter myself before meeting a girl in August who I could instantly be myself with, who has pretty much been my partner in crime since. 7 years younger than me is keeping me on my toes, lots of spontaneous raves, parties, festivals etc. But also smart and with her head pretty well screwed on. Didn't think I'd ever date again after the stoma surgery so it's good to get that confidence back. Only had one bedroom based disaster, and she's very understanding (my shower is big enough for both of us so that helped) heh.
Not been too much of a druggy of late, everything in moderation seems to be working out. Definitely too much md over the summer tho, the last time was bollocks! Time for a winter break to reset the magic heh. Feels like I'm still drinking far too much but now I have a social life it seems unlikely to be stopping any time soon. Running season again now, did my first fell race recently which was tough! Got a few half marathons on the calendar and my first full one in March, working on distance rather than pace this year. Also ran from Bristol to Bath when I last visited, which has been on the bucket list since I lived there and cycled part of that route to work.
Good to see some activity and familiar names in here anyway. Hope y'all good!
Peace
