I would really love a Belgian Malinois. Any dog that can be trained to answer a telephone is pretty awesome anyway; but one that positively exudes Don't Fuck With Me is even more awesome -- particularly when it's on a stout chain held loosely between finger and thumb.
My one exudes 'don't fuck with my boss', he only needs to growl and people get scared which he will do at the slightest hint of trouble for me.
Unfortunately that includes daft bitches that are scared of dogs and that look him due to that in the eye lol. He's nearly got hold of a few of them in the past.

I never trained him to bite so he's got a weak bite and if it hurts and you scream loudly he'd release you sharpish if you kick him you're going to regret it because his bite will get worse. They can be quite sensitive believe it or not. If you get a young one and take him to puppy class and socialize them you won't have a problem with other dogs.
My wasn't but he can be ok give me 15 minutes with a random non aggressive dog and they'll get along. They're not really a dog aggressive breed.

Sobriety didn't last long. Visited a mate and had a few lines. Now the wine is open. Oh well at least i didn't stock up myself so its just the cabernet with me tonight. I find it hard to go without the wine. I often dont drink enough to get pissed but I just love wine so much its hard to totally go without.

Well it's week two of Ramadan for me :/ - liquor store is closed for a month, bars are all closed, cafes/food court etc are all closed during the day, everyone is fasting so no coffee, smoking driving is a fucking nightmare as everyone is asleep.

Thankfully I stocked up prior (400AU$ for a case of vodka)

My problem is i have spent many years collecting wine so i have a lot of really good booze always at hand. And i really love my wine. Its a passion. So going without never works. I stopped at one bottle tonight. Going to bed now. I could keep drinking but i am taking the sleep option. Plus i have shit to do tomorrow. Enjoy your vodka bro.

Hi 'Ceres' {man hugs}

I'm a bit like that myself today to be honest - I know that I 'should' be doing something a bit more constructive but I made the decision not to do it - I'm officially switched off until Sunday (maybe Monday/Wednesday/July :D).

Have a great weekend

Bear

yep it's hard to allow myself to make time in the day to /not/ be doing something constructive, doesnt help when the weather is pouring rain one day and sunshine the next.

For G because sleep finds us all and we'e all black sheep.

We are brothers and sisters alike.

Love you mate xx

The angels jump and play all day long,
They even have their favorite songs.

The angels are joyful all through the day,
Cause at night they know its time out for play.

So they settle down with one another,
Sister to Sister and Brother to Brother.

All of a sudden they all start yawning,
The sun is out and its Playtime Morning.

Continuing my campaign of being a giant weeun today! I haven't been using my laptop much but I get quite bored in the evenings so my bf suggested a few games o could get on my laptop! Downloaded this absolutely delightful game called Costume Quest. Essentially you have to collect all the candy and battle trolls to collect materials to build better costumes! I spent far too many hours playing it last night and I am now gonna attempt to get minecraft.

The joys of being easily amused <3

Stee, have you tried Bloodborne or any of the Dark Souls games? If not, I strongly recommend that you do! BB kept me going for about three months last summer and DS3 has been kicking my ass since the middle of last month. Both very challenging, but very rewarding when progress is finally achieved.

Speaking of cray-cray... Your linky sent me a-potterin' off to read '6 Disasters With Details So Awful, History Left Them Out' - several of which are genuinely horrible (actually they all are but some are especially horrible). This one was both horrible and genuinely interesting though...

Article linkied above said:
#3. Fallout From The Civil Rights Movement Led To Countless Black Men Being Diagnosed With "Schizophrenia"

The Civil Rights Movement won great things for the nation's minorities, but these victories came at a tremendous cost for the people who won them. For years, black communities suffered through protests, riots, and, let's say, "vigorous" police enforcement. And there's an even sadder case of discrimination from this time which almost no one knows about; one which put a lot of black men into mental hospitals.

Prior to the 1960s, schizophrenia was thought to be something which only middle-class women suffered, like the vapors or plodding missionary-position sex. Its symptoms, as understood at the time, matched what we'd now call depression, and it was typically chalked up to pressures related to housework and motherhood. But that all changed in 1968, with the publication of new psychiatric guidelines which reclassified schizophrenia as a disease which manifested via outbursts of ultra-violent aggression. Before, schizophrenia was treated with compassion and pity. Now, it required containment.

Guess how that turned out.

OK, we'll tell you. In the years that followed, schizophrenia diagnoses in "angry black men" skyrocketed. Moreover, a specific type of schizophrenia was suddenly discovered: paranoid schizophrenia, sufferers of which were typified as having "delusional anti-whiteness." Which sounds laughable; considering the lynching and segregation and bombings and arson and goddamned medical experimentation, it'd be delusional for a black man not to be anti-white.

The psychiatrists who changed these guidelines probably weren't being explicitly racist. But in the words of the psychiatry professor who identified the sudden trend, this change "reflected the social tensions of 1960s America." Far from being a cold, clinical decision, the new diagnosis procedures were heavily intertwined with the cultural values of the day, or at least the cultural values of white doctors, leading them to create what was essentially a modern version of "drapetomania" -- the old "illness" concocted to explain why slaves so often fled their masters.

I must confess I did not know that. Would certainly add fuel to the popular mental health/"psychotropic drugs" set of conspiracy theories. Intriguing, depressing, and sadly completely predictable :\

(albeit in hindsight)

I just rode my bike on a 600km, nighttime, round trip around the country.

After a 12 hour workday, because I needed a bag of weed.

Skinning up now, mope it was worth it, as it's nearly 3am, and I get up for work at 5!

Just woke up from a nightmare that would not end. Kept waking up through the night only to go back into the same nightmare. Anyone else get these kind of continuing dreams? Its 6am and i have had enough of that one. Heavy

I went through a phase of "continuing" dreams - ones that you wake up from, shake yourself off, and promptly fall right back into... repeatedly. Mostly of the somewhat nightmarish variety as you note, but a couple that were more pleasing. Funny things are dreams. I go through spells of ridiculously vivid ones. I blame GBL. Never known a substance like it that can produce such insanely vivid and downright bizarre (even by dream standards) dreams 8o

Yeah i normally have quite vivid dreams and i do seem to be in a phase of continuing dreams. As you said they are not all nightmarish but last nights was.

Craziest dreams i ever had was from the smoking cessation pills Champix. My god. They were psychedelic. Its listed as on of the most common side effects. I would almost take them again just for the dreams!
