Weird feelings in the brain after LSD trip...

Hi, I have taken LSD three times now.
The first two times I took it I felt perfectly fine the following days.
The third time on the other hand made me wake up and see everything so much differently. Also I now seem to have little things in my brain go off that I can feel. My head will start to warm up and I can feel this. This bothers me quite a bit. When I smoke weed now it inhances these feelings in my head.

I'm curious to ask has anyone else had these side effects occur?
My head seems like it's always warm and I can feel it. This is something I would not like to continue. Some forums say it's anxiety and what not but, I don't know what else to think...Sometimes I feel like my brain is just going to take a dump.

Will this eventually get normal again?

Your brain does not have the kind of nerves that give you any physical sensation. Brain operations have been done on people who were conscious. What you're feeling is probably after effects of the LSD, but they will subside if you stop worrying about them. LSD does not cause physical brain damage.

These feelings will probably subside more quickly if you abstain from marijuana.

LSD is quite benign physically, but it still taxes the body pretty heavily. A 12 hour trippin' balls adrenaline rush makes ones head tired.

QFT

Just eat healthy & get plenty of rest & some exercise for a week or two, if that doesn't work, then maybe talk to a Dr or Psychologist. Also probably best to abstain from all psychoactives for a bit as well. But especially things like stimulants or cannabis

Well, I'm still feeling really weird and my head still seems to gaging a lot of warmness.
Small hallucinations are still in contact even 3 weeks after the trip. Is this normal? When do you think my brain will adjust to this?
Was it possibly a reall high dose of acid that's making me see small hallucinations?

Did it ever go away? I did 4 hits and now have something similar, like the faint sensation that there's pressure around my head and kind of like its warm, its been here for a few days now and goes away for a little while every now and then

I would say you should talk with someone professional, but I would be interested in what your previous trips were like and what this trip was like.

This was my first time doing acid, this trip was pretty intense, I didn't have any delusions (eg. I can fly, I'm really a cat) I knew where I was and what I was and what I was physically capable of at all times, there were lots of visuals, I felt pretty energetic, happy, laughed a lot, my thoughts were going off in all directions, I was thinking about the nature of mater and theoretical physics at one point and it all made sense to me. The trip was pretty awesome. It took about a week to recover mentally but I still have this weird feeling, like I'm wearing a hat, the same sort of sensation of just light pressure around my head. I talked to a doctor who said it may be due to stress and fatigue and prescribed 600mg of ibuprofen 3x a day for a week but it hasn't helped yet. I was told LSD can make you go crazy, you can have bad flashbacks and panic attacks, I was never warned that it may make you feel like you have a hat permanently on your head... this is so ridiculous

These sound like psychosomatic effects exacerbated by both you seeming to focus on them (although it would be hard not too) and your blazing
Try cutting out blazing until they pass and keep yourself occupied when you feel them, as said before your brain cannot feel physical sensations such as touch or heat.
It's guaranteed anxiety, it is why it probably seems to get worse when you think about it and when you smoke weed.
It may not be debilitating anxiety but anxiety comes in all forms and levels of severity, but it is definitely the best word to describe this case

i have generalized anxiety disorder and feel too hot about 80% of my life and live with a fan on me at all times, so i'd say it's anxiety. and it's definitely going to come up worse when you're high. i would say it wouldn't last long, but brain chemistry is varied. i just tripped and was depressed and drained the next day but was back to normal by day two. low dose, not that strong. high dose, pretty strong, i slept with the lights on for months.

Verily, verily.

sometimes i get paranoid that my brain is not right after doing so much LSD, but i think it's just that, paranoia. i can't really compare it to my brain pre-LSD because I don't remember it being 4 years since i've been taking this drug (on and off). and these feelings of my brain "not being right" are relatively new feelings. i know that my thoughts and thought process are very normal and concrete. but sometimes i still get paranoid. but when i read "lsd causes no brain damage" it makes me feel better.

i do feel my brain is more sensitive though. and the thought of fucked up shit happening makes me cringe more than before i did lsd.

While this is true of normal pain, I disagree about the possibility of drugs to cause other kinds of sensations that are unique to the brain as an epiphenomenon of chemical or physical events. It is confusing to deny this. For example you can get headaches from all sorts of drug use or brain zaps. There are a lot of different kinds of headaches with different causes, I've had particular kinds of tension headaches on the back of my head from GHB and other GABAergics and it is also possible to get headaches from abuse of dopaminergics. We don't fully understand half of it.

But while I don't think that there is real organic damage that is felt in this case, they are probably as Afterglow suggests as well, indirect effects of for example exhaustion, tension or dehydratation.

Although psychosomatic causes are also a big possibility, but I stick to my previous point - at least generally / theoretically.

Crazedboy- I have been fealing the same thing. This was posted 6 years ago but if you get this can u tell me how long it lasted? We have the same exact story! Please help

If you mean like it feels as if your face is glowing, and you actually look a little red as well, then you're probably just tired.
I experience this quite a lot.
When it felt like you woke up and start to see things differently, that's what psychedelics tend to do for you, it can make you look entirely different at the world and reality forever, or at least until you find a better way of understanding our world, reality etc.

Thank you BlueMerlin. I thought this thread was never going to be read again. The thing is Ive takin it plenty of times before ( maybe 10 times)(NEVER AGAIN!) And I know what you mean by seeing things differently atleast for a bit. But this is not that... I do understand the glowing in the face and such and i am tired but i think ITS not alowing me to sleep i have obly gotten 2-6 hours of sleep since.I still feel as if I'm coming down from it. The main thing is my head is kinda warm and I have pressure behind my eyes and tension in the front of my head. It's like a combination between standing up too fast and the feeling you get when focusing on a very small object (like working on something very small in your hands) I would not mind the small visuals but it really feels as if I'm on a low dose.. All the time, three weeks now like the first post said. It comes and goes but never goes away completely. Smoking herb makes it worse along with drinking. I see atleast two people know exactly what I'm talking about but their poster were 6 years ago. I would really just like for somebody to say they had it and it went away I can't live like this it's torture. Side note I will never do drugs again! It is indeed a fun experience for 90% of people but they way I feel now I have to advise everybody to stay away... This is not worth it!

Yeah, it's normal. To be honest, I get little "sober trips" sometimes myself. Sometimes, stuff will move/melt a little. It used to be a lot more, but I just kind of got used to it. It never has caused my problems in my life, and to be honest I've come to just have fun with the sober visuals and trippy feelings. Once you are used to the new ways of being and thinking, it's actually pretty cool =D I totally understand where you're coming from, because I remember the same thing. It kind of sketched me out when it first happened. You are fine and your brain is normal, the LSD just shifted you into a different/higher consciousness. Your brain needs to just adapt to it a little, but you're okay :) Be careful though, if you are feeling like this, dosing again definitely wouldn't be a good idea. A lot of times when people keep tripping even in the wake of an experience like this, it can result in getting overly far out there. Not necessarily "messed up", so much as "different".

I remember that first time reading, and seeing the letters shifting on me while sober :\ Kinda sketched me out, but then I was just kind of like, hmmmmm, this is actually pretty cool =D As long as the visuals aren't getting in the way of functioning, it's nothing to worry about. Like, if you said you were having trouble driving or something because of it, then it'd be HPPD. Otherwise, it's just a normal after effect. Don't worry about it, you'll probably find that the trip actually helped your brain run more smoothly. At least, that's what happened with me :)
