Favorite one-line in a song

A young girl died just last night
She choked on sperm in her windpipe
It was on her face, her neck, and chest
And we're sorry to say there's no suspect

This story's funny
I met this girl, and she had money
In vast abundance
Goo-goo gobs, I mean redundance
Her eyes were hazel
Her dress was suede, her voice was nasal
I found her so fly
But for the life of me, I didn't know why

We're gonna love one another till morning comes
Seek the sweet salvation for what we've done
Give up resisting one by one
One by one

Cher - One By One this song could seriously bring world peace.

On Raglan Road on an Autumn Day,
I saw her first and knew
That her dark hair would weave a snare
That I may one day rue.

I caught myself listening to "Moon River" by Henry Mancini, when watching an old movie yesterday.
It´s tacky I know but I was pretty impressed about how life was in the early 60´s. No computers, lots of books, romance yet a hard life for the middle class.
I was not even born, but I would have liked to live in that generation.

My heart is broke
But I have some glue
Help me inhale
And mend it with you
We'll float around
And hang out on clouds
Then we'll come down
And have a hangover.

DUMB

You should see Polythene pam,
She's so good looking but she looks like a man,
you should see her in drag dressed in her polythene bag
see polythene pam.

^^Always loved 'Dumb', those lyrics in particular. Nice and easy to sing, too. I remember being so disappointed at not being able to sing much Nirvana after my voice broke lol

Well I'm sitting on my watch,
So I can be on time,
I'm singing love's praises,
With sugar-coated rhyme

Dylan - Bye and Bye

Yeah those lyrics really stand out in the song!

I remember being so disappointed when I recorded myself playing territorial pissings on guitar and singing the lyrics at the age of 14. Only to listen back to it and realise that I sound like a tone deaf chipmunk :D

Well at least now you can do Johnny Cash songs with those oh-so-low balls ;)

Johnny's not too much of a problem. It's singing George Jones that's impossible. I fear I may have overstepped the line into 'not cool' now

"If we touched it would disturb the calm
Physical effort often causes mental harm;
I don't have the energy -
You could say things get pretty tranquil with me"

"Lovers of Today" by the Only Ones. Lyrics by the genius wastrel Peter Perrett.

"
I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can"
