one more question... what is noopept's effect with psychoactives? I've already tried weed and noopept (awesome) but I'm curious about others mainly MDMA and psychs.

I decided to start taking noopept again now that i'm no longer smoking weed and I just got a ritalin prescription. I honestly feel like it worked a lot better when I was smoking weed on a constant, but I was also taking slightly higher doses. It seemed like noopept worked really well the first 10 or so times I did it then seemed to make me somewhat spacey.. idk how I feel about this nootropic.

Ive stopped taking it it myself, and since started taking Piracetam. Noopept would make me focus well for about 2 hours and than make me spacy and tired like several others have stated. I still have some left, perhaps in the future I will revisit it, but for now I'm sticking with Piracetam.

My experience with the racetams is that the effects are very very subtle. I once took a big hit of noopept and the only thing that was different was that my field of view, as in things I can focus on visually, was larger.

Finally an advantage of being russian, can it be possible? ;)

I have some powder from ebay of which I have reason to believe its noopept.
Its day 2 today and so far its quite nice, I took around 5mgs yesterday and today ~5 in the morning and 5mg just now this seems to speed up my thoughts what racetams just dont do at all and it has some but not all properties of stimulants.
For example I think I am more "on the edge" than I normally am and it feels a little like a dopaminergic drug for me.

Maybe its just life cirumstances that makes me feel like that but it feels really different from piracetam and aniracetam.

Does anyone know if Noopept has an effect on NMDA receptors? The only information I can get on its mechanism of action is that it is believed to work in a similar way to the racetams which AFAIK have differing strength effects on these receptors.

I wonder if reconstituting Noopept in solution for IM use would be a good idea or not...

Like I said earlier in this thread, I am not yet convinced of the value of this compound. And I have a feeling that part of that might be due to significant loss of product from limited BA via the unusual ROAs.

I just got some Neuro Pept in and have added it to my stack this week. Now I haven't altered my choline dosages, nor anything else that I am currently taking. I'm under the impression the noopept is something to be somewhat cycled so I am wondering if I should possibly not take it on sunday and saturday since I won't really be doing all that much school work. If someone can help me out with how I could properly cycle noopept that would be great.

I have a question, I have never heard of this before and just did about ten minutes of reading, I did not find my answer.

Why is this in the Psychedelic Discussion? Does this prescription medication have Psychedelic attributes?

I am going to look into the pharmacology more that might answer my questions however a quick answer would be nice!

Very fun to get to learn something new!

Thanks!

I imagine it's just because it doesn't really fit into any of the other focus forums, and nootropics aren't discussed frequently enough to warrent their own forum. You could say it's mind-expanding I guess...

This is the best answer since obviously nootropics are not psychedelics. However, with Noopept in particular, I have had thought patterns that are comparable to ones experienced during a psychedelic trip (without the other effects of psychedelics, of course) so perhaps this is another reason why the nootropic threads end up in this forum.

Very very cool read for the night thank you for your quick input both of you above!

Have a great day or night!
Cheers

Hey guys I found this on Monday while researching Noopept. It might help you guys out, especially you Solipsus, because it explains how its absorbed and metabolized and what not. http://forums.steroid.com/anabolic-...ead-how-works-what-administration-dosing.html

It turns out that orally does work because the chemical is so damn potent, so you still get enough of it into your system to get metabolized. Sublingually works like a charm though every time.

most people sublingually take this right? how long do you guys keep it there?

for me even after 5-7 minutes it still isnt fully gone. im not taking big doses either... might it be the quality of the noopept?

Took 15mg SL this morning and it must have been a good 20 minutes before I swallowed it. IME it never goes 100% but it's much less pronounced.

Has anyone tried insufflating it? It doesn't taste very nice.

Noopept smells like shit! Couldn't stand that vile taste via sublingual admin.

There are reports that it can cancel out dissoziatives in some cases so this would mean it has an effect on these receptors

Well, there's this too, from the OP.

Please note that Bluelight's Healthy Living forum covers discussion of supplement stacks. PD only wishes to focus on cognition enhancement as an extension of consciousness expansion. We also aim to discuss the combination of nootropics with psychedelics or even other drugs, and their (potential) interactions.

Also: good read this thread and Solipsis: thanks for posting that article on ScienceBasedMedicine. Gave me the right words to articulate my feelings against all these unsubstantiated claims about these random herbal supplements.

Are you guys saying you don't need to take a choline source with Noopept? So far I only have limited experience with infrequent dosages of aniracetam, but have heard some good stories about noopept from friends who claimed as their major benefit a decrease in procrastination. If there's anything I need, it's that! ;)
